Finally something to update you on, Esmée attended a dinner party hosted by Keri Hilson to celebrate her single release at ORA Restaurant in London. Other guest were Max (From BBC Radio), The Mac Twins and Jaya. Esmée met Keri Hilson before because they were both the pre-show for Ne-Yo’s Year of the Gentleman Tour Europe. I hope regular updates will return shortly but Esmée is currently still recording for her second alubm and there isn’t much to update you on.

Today is a special day because today we can celebrate the second year anniversary of Esmée debut album “Outta Here“. Two years ago her album was released in her home country the Netherlands. The physical release had 13 songs, including the bonus track “Sad Symphony” and the Itunes release also had the bonus track “Eyes for You“. Esmée co-wrote 9 songs herself and the album peaked at #5 in the dutch album charts.

Over a week ago there was another second year anniversary, the music video for her debut single “Outta Here” was released on May 13th, 2009 after being released on April 14th.

Congratulations Esmée & Justin Timberlake/Tennman Records Team for the second year anniversary for “Outta Here“. I still listen to the album frequently and I am still not bored with the songs. As you all know Esmée is currently recording her second album. Let’s hope we will hear her first single of her second album in the next few weeks!

Esmée gave a little Question & Answering yesterday via her official Twitter Account @esmeeworld and answered some questions the fans send in. If you keep an eye on her facebook she has announced she will do a Q&A later this week as well.

As you all know, Esmée is currently in London to work on her second album. She earlier revealed she is working with the songwriters/producers Ben Cullum, K-Gee (Karl Gordon) and Efexx. Just like with her first album she is (co-)writing a lot of the songs herself, and we get the impression she is writing and more involved in the making of this album – which is so excited! The release is currently set for Summer 2011 and it was earlier announced the first single of the album will come Spring 2011 – let’s just say new music is coming soon. We should take Esmée’s advice: “ Good things come to those who wait“.

It’s almost a half year ago since we heard a cover, but after seeing the Esmée latest cover “Someone Like You” we have to say it’s worth the wait! She just released a brand new cover via her Esmeeworld youtube account and we absolutely love it. She is covering “Someone Like You” by Adele. I still can not believe how much her voice has grown over the past few years and she is putting emotion in the song as well which is amazing. The producer Ben Cullum is playing the keys, he is working with Esmée in the studio – with Karl Gordon – on her second album which is expected to release this summer. You can also see Esmée’s new hair-do, she is still blond but she has bangs again.

We were really excited when we found out yesterday Adlicious was going to perform Esmée’s “Love Dealer” at X-Factor in the Netherlands since they are our favorite! Adlicious is a dutch group of 3 talented people: Laise, Shirley and Jordy. For the UK fans, you may recognize them since they also entered the UK version of X-factor but they didn’t make it to the live shows.

Adlicious performed “Love Dealer” and Justin Timberlake’s “Love, Sex, Magic” in the remix version of Chew Fu (which is still one of our favorite remixes) yesterday and they rocked it. We really love there rendition of it, so be sure to watch their performance below. It’s not the first time someone covered a song of Esmée during a big talent live show. A lot of contestants covered the song “Outta Here” during the auditions of Popstars and Emmily also did her rendition of the song during the 3th live show of 2009 version of Popstars. We have to admit Adlicious is our favorite so far!

Esmée also made an appearance on the previous season of X-Factor in the Netherlands as guest coach.

We added all the missing personal photos Esmée posted via twitter, facebook and tumblr from the past few weeks. She was busy with recording and writing in the studio for her second album and her sister Daphne also visited her for a few days in London.
