Last night Esmée and 17 Cosmetics released their collaboration video “It’s Summer Because We Say So“. 17 Cosmetics collaborate with ‘up and coming bands, to write songs inspired by our make-up. With every new product they will release a new “17 make up song” and Esmée is featured for their new product. You can watch the video below, it’s a really catchy summer song, and it’s so good to finally see and hear new music of Esmée!

I am in the middle of my finals, if everything goes well I will graduate next month and go to University in September. So really exciting but also busy times for me. That’s the major reason why I haven’t updated as much as normal, but I am currently working on a big surprise for the site. We will be bigger and better then ever so be sure to stay tuned! She made a cover of her song “Tears dry on their own“. We think the payed an amazing tribute to Amy! And it’s good to see she is still making covers. We want to apologize for the lack of updates, there isn’t much to update you guys on and I have to admit my motivation was a bit gone and my personal life kept me quite busy. We recently ordered a brand new theme and we want to put it online in the next week(s).

Today (August 25th) is an important day for Esmée and for us because 5 years ago on this day she posted her very first youtube cover with her sister’s webcam. Like every year (2010, 2009) we like to celebrate it with a special update.

We are so happy and proud we are following Esmée since her very first videos and we can not believe it’s been 5 years already. Esmée came a far way: posting covers at youtube, being discovered by Justin Timberlake and she was the first artist who signed to his label Tenmann Records, appearing on Oprah, releasing her debut album “Outta Here“, collaboration with artist like Chipmunk, Stanfour and Aggro Santos and now working on her second album “Screaming Out Loud“. We also think she grew vocally just like her performance and as an artist and we can not wait to hear her second album!

She just released a brand new cover via her Esmeeworld youtube account and we absolutely love it. She is covering “Someone Like You” by Adele. I still can not believe how much her voice has grown over the past few years and she is putting emotion in the song as well which is amazing. The producer Ben Cullum is playing the keys, he is working with Esmée in the studio – with Karl Gordon – on her second album which is expected to release this summer. You can also see Esmée’s new hair-do, she is still blond but she has bangs again.

Adlicious is a dutch group of 3 talented people: Laise, Shirley and Jordy. For the UK fans, you may recognize them since they also entered the UK version of X-factor but they didn’t make it to the live shows.

Adlicious performed “Love Dealer” and Justin Timberlake’s “Love, Sex, Magic” in the remix version of Chew Fu (which is still one of our favorite remixes) yesterday and they rocked it. We really love there rendition of it, so be sure to watch their performance below. It’s not the first time someone covered a song of Esmée during a big talent live show. A lot of contestants covered the song “Outta Here” during the auditions of Popstars and Emmily also did her rendition of the song during the 3th live show of 2009 version of Popstars. We have to admit Adlicious is our favorite so far!

Esmée also made an appearance on the previous season of X-Factor in the Netherlands as guest coach.

Laurenharvey26 tweeted us the setlist: Esmée performed “Outta Here“, a brand new song called “All Around the World” and a little part of “Until You Were Gone“. As you all know Esmée is currently in London to work on her second album, and during the event she debuted “All Around the World” for the first time. Not sure the song is going to be on the second album, or maybe it’s the debut single of her second album but I think we will find out soon. The song is a really good mixture between Pop/R&B and even a little bit of rock, what do you think of “All Around the World“?
