Get excited everyone! Last night Esmée and 17 Cosmetics released their collaboration video “It’s Summer Because We Say So“. 17 Cosmetics collaborate with ‘up and coming bands, to write songs inspired by our make-up. With every new product they will release a new “17 make up song” and Esmée is featured for their new product. You can watch the video below, it’s a really catchy summer song, and it’s so good to finally see and hear new music of Esmée!

I am in the middle of my finals, if everything goes well I will graduate next month and go to University in September. So really exciting but also busy times for me. That’s the major reason why I haven’t updated as much as normal, but I am currently working on a big surprise for the site. We will be bigger and better then ever so be sure to stay tuned! I can’t express how excited I am, but I think it’s safe to say that Esmée is ‘back’. She worked on her upcoming second album “Screaming Out Loud” the last 2 years. She just uploaded the acoustic version of her upcoming, and first single of the album, “City Lights“. Be sure to watch it below.

A recap from tonight’s appearance in the dutch television show “Ik Hou Van Holland” (I Love Holland) is coming tomorrow.

Esmée recently announced she was planning on doing a cover of “It Will Rain” by Bruno Mars. She just uploaded the cover on her youtube channel a few hour ago and it’s awsome! Esmée uploaded a brand new video of her covering “Without You” by David Guetta and Usher. She already gave us a preview last Friday. The cover will also be on her upcoming second album “Screaming Out Loud“. We love her rendition of the cover, is shows her vocal ability and her musicality. Esmée made her own tribute to the late Amy Winehouse. She made a cover of her song “Tears dry on their own“. We think the payed an amazing tribute to Amy! And it’s good to see she is still making covers. You can check out the cover below and be sure to “Like” the cover at her youtube page.

We want to apologize for the lack of updates, there isn’t much to update you guys on and I have to admit my motivation was a bit gone and my personal life kept me quite busy. We recently ordered a brand new theme and we want to put it online in the next week(s).

Today (August 25th) is an important day for Esmée and for us because 5 years ago on this day she posted her very first youtube cover with her sister’s webcam. Like every year (2010, 2009) we like to celebrate it with a special update.

We are so happy and proud we are following Esmée since her very first videos and we can not believe it’s been 5 years already. Esmée came a far way: posting covers at youtube, being discovered by Justin Timberlake and she was the first artist who signed to his label Tenmann Records, appearing on Oprah, releasing her debut album “Outta Here“, collaboration with artist like Chipmunk, Stanfour and Aggro Santos and now working on her second album “Screaming Out Loud“. We also think she grew vocally just like her performance and as an artist and we can not wait to hear her second album!
