Just going into the studio today to get a few more songs on my album. I am telling you this album is the most important thing in my life and i gotta make sure i deliver something awesome. Nothing but te best for my fans!!

I know we, as fans, want new music as soon as possible but I think it’s a good sign she is back in the studio. It means she is working really hard to get the album absolutely perfect, I really hope we will get the first single early 2012 and the album spring/summer of 2012! We can also expect a new cover soon since she recently announced she will cover “It will rain” by Bruno Mars.

We would also like to thank Esmée, because she recently gave us two (!!) shout outs via her official twitter to wish me a happy birthday and to thank us for the the fansite. She said the “website esmeefans.org means the world to me!” and she checks our fansite every day.

It means so much to me to get the positive support of Esmée (and her team/family) since the day I started this site (which is over 4 years ago)! I still support Esmée and her career and I really hope this site will go on for many more years. She is truly one of the nicest, most down to earth and talented artist out there. She proves dreams can come true and hard work will bring you a long way!

As you all know, Esmée is currently in London to work on her second album. She earlier revealed she is working with the songwriters/producers Ben Cullum, K-Gee (Karl Gordon) and Efexx. Just like with her first album she is (co-)writing a lot of the songs herself, and we get the impression she is writing and more involved in the making of this album – which is so excited! The release is currently set for Summer 2011 and it was earlier announced the first single of the album will come Spring 2011 – let’s just say new music is coming soon. We should take Esmée’s advice: “ Good things come to those who wait“.

She is also blogging frequently, with fashion mood boards, funny photos/videos but also personal blogs via That Girl From Youtube. If you have read her bogs, I believe Esmée is much more in control when it comes to her second album which is a good thing if you ask me. She doesn’t only write how good the progress is going, which most of the time is all you hear from artist when they promote an album, but she also writes about her insecurities, thoughts and shows us she is only human. I find it inspiring to read, and I feel like she involves her fans and followers really personal with her second album.

Over the past few days she already started working in the studio. She worked with Ben Cullum and K-Gee. She already finished 3 songs and looks like it’s going to be a mixture of styles. She wrote a song for the club and someting ‘Rockpurban‘ (Rock, Pop, Urban). Esmée will also worked with producers Efexx and Flipz R1.

It could happen that Esmée will release an EP instead of an album. For those who don’t know an EP is an Extended Play. It contains more music, most of the time around six singles, then a single but it’s too short to qualify as an album. She asked her fans what they wanted, and as far as I saw most of the fans wanted an album. What do you prefer?

It’s good to hear all the new buzz about her second album right? And I love the fact she is involving us in her writing and studio time so much. Let’s hope she is still filming her journey too.
