I’m so proud of Esmée right now because she got nominated for an Edison. You may not know this award, but it’s pretty big in Holland: it’s like the Grammy’s of the Netherlands and Esmée got a nomination alongside one of the greatest dutch artist. She got nominated for the ‘Veronica publieksprijs beste song‘ (The price decided by voters) wich means we can vote for Esmée. They nominated her debut hit single ‘Outta Here‘, wich peaked at #3 in the dutch charts and number #7 of the UK charts. If you are not dutch you can still vote, but be sure to read and follow the intruction below.

1. Go to the voting page of the Edisons 2010.
2. Select a random album below ‘Publieksprijs beste album’
3. Select Esmée ‘Outta Here‘ below ‘Veronica publieksprijs beste song’. Just tick the box next to Esmée’s cover art. You may have to scroll a bit.

Note: The album can be different when you visit the voting page, the order randomly changes.

4. Scroll down until the white box with ‘E-mail*’ above it and fill in your own e-mail.
5. Go to your mail box of the e-mail you filled in and open the one from info@ediso​ns.nl with ‘Bevestig uw stem op [Random Album you selected] en Outta here (single)‘ as subject and click the link to confirm your vote.
6. Be sure to vote, and follow the same steps as above, with all your e-mail addresses: your work, school, personal, website, fansite etc. e-mails. And ask you parents, sister, brother, relatives, (new) classmates and friends to vote too.

Some really exciting news today: a brand new video has been released online of Esmée performing the song ‘Gravity‘. It looks like a music video for the song. ‘Gravity‘ was suppose to be the first official single of her debut album ‘Outta Here‘ but Esmée recorded the single ‘Outta Here‘ last minute and they changed the debut single. ‘Gravity‘ didn’t make it yet as official music video. When you watch earlier blogs of Esmée before you may have noticed that they have release some short footage of this video but it’s really nice to see the full video!

Esmée looks really stunning! The video is at the same time a nice behind the scenes look of Esmée on the photoshoot for her debut album artwork. The photographer is Jason O’Dell and you can watch the full photoshoot set in our gallery. I really hope more outtakes will be released of this shoot since they only released a few and by the looks of the video they will have a lot more!

Looks like Esmée is back, after spending a few days in Holland, in London again. She had a lovely interview yesterday with Total Acces. It’s a fun and cute interview! Be sure to listen to it below. She talks about shooting her music video ‘Love Dealer‘, Sex and the City, fashion and a lot more. They also aired a shot audio of what Chipmunk has to say about her. It’s really nice!

Finally, the big day for the US fans was there: the official digital release of Esmée’s debut album ‘Outta Here’ in the US was on August 24th. You can buy the full album, and be sure you do!, on itunes. The full track list can be found below.

The track list is a little bit different than the one of the UK/the Netherlands. They left out “Victim“, “Bigger Than The World“, “The First Thing” and “Just Can’t Have It” and added the charity single “Crazy Place“. I’m a little bit sad that they left out one of the best songs of the album, but I think and hope they will release those songs on a deluxe edition or her second album! I’m not sure when the store release of the album is, but when I do you guys are the first to know!

Yesterday was the official one year anniversairy for the UK release of Esmée’s “Outta Here“. Her debut single peaked in the UK Charts at numnber #7, her first top 10 UK hit. After the release of “Outta Here” follow the release of “Admit It” and in 2010 the release of her debut album , wich is also called “Outta Here“, and her latest release “Love Dealer“. Esmée has a big fan base in the UK wich has grown after her collaboration with the UK rapper Chipmunk. You can read the post that I made on August 17th over here.

Esmée is currently still in New York so I expect more news within the next days. Look out for the Youtube Anniversairy the 25th! The news is really slow the last few weeks, but I really hope that will change soon.

Well, this may be one of the longest times with no updates this year. It’s a little bit quiet around Esmée these days. Last weeks she was enjoying a deserved holiday at home and with her sister Daphne in Barcelona. I’ve added some personal photos of her holiday in our gallery. Looks like she had a great time!

Esmée had a bussy week, she stayed a few days in Stockhol to record a song/collaboration with an other (male) artist. I’m not sure she recorded more than one song, I really hope she did! Because she is currently working on new songs for her second album or additions songs for het debut album in the US.

After a few days in Stockholm Esmée came back home so she could celebrate her mothers birthday. She flew to New York today to shoot the new campaign for B.Tempted and I really hope to do promoting for ‘Love Dealer‘ and her debut album. The official release of ‘Outta Here‘ (album) was set for August 2010 but I’m not sure it’s going to happen since it’s almost september and there was little promotion. It’s a pity, all I can say is stay positive and keep supporting our girl! After New York Esmée will fly to London and Switserland, I’m not sure it’s for promotion or new recording sessions.
