We Love EsméeAs you all know Haitï needs our help right now. The biggest television stations and radio in the Netherlands hosted a national charity night yesterday for the Netherlands.
Esmée was one of the performances of that night. She did a duet with Trijntje Oosterhuis and Waylon. They are both well known artists in the Netherlands. They sang “I’ll be there” and I think it’s absolutely amazing. This is one of my favorite performances of Esmée so far; she was so good!

Wow what happening to esmee! Her album was a flop her single was a flop do you people think 2010 will be a great music year for esmee!! Not that i think Esmee had no chance anymore to break in the real music industry but it’s going to be a hard year for esmee. GOOD LUCK ESMEE YOU AND YOUR FANS BELIEVING THAT THIS YEAR IS YOURS
Esmee will do great this year esspecially with her new upcoming single love dealer ft justin timberlake if that song is not gonna be a hit i dont know anymore my self :) But don’t forget guys esmee did alot of hard working for it and not only esmee but also the people around her !!!
Sorry for the third comment for today. I must have been too obsessed to this site :). EKA, don’t underestimate Esmee. Sometimes, an artist needs a bit of luck to break into this business. I hope you guys know that Wax and Herbal T has made a remix “Admit it” on JT’s request. That was a very good remix. The responses are excellent. I think that should have been the official release instead of the studio one. If they release the remix version, it is gonna do much better than the previous one. Same leading voice. Different backing track. Who knows how far this is gonna go? I have an answer for jamy in case love dealer will not be a hit. Esmee should be more choosy for the backing track she has to sing. If that is not possible, she should find a new place (if it is possible) to do this. Maybe tracks produced by JT does not suit her singing style. She must believe in her ears. She does not need heavy promotion anymore. Many people have already known her. Many people are just waiting for her hot track so they can happily buy it. If Justin Beiber can have hot tracks, why not Esmee?
Outta Here did great in Holland (a top 3 hit) and England (top 10), only her second single didn’t do well. Esmee isn’t the only artist who has that problem, take Kelly Clarkson: her first single My Life Would Suck Without You was a big hit, but her second I Do Not Hook Up didn’t do so well. BUT her third single, Already Gone, was a succes again! All I’m saying, don’t write Esmee off just yet. Maybe her third single will be a succes again.

I just know that the same guy has been here before in 2009 (exactly same writing style), like 3/4 times. Always with the same kind of comments. He pretended once that he was someone in the music industry and the other time he suddenly pretended that his father was in the music industry. So just let him talk.
Insider of TenmanRecords or not. We are just giving our opinion. Nothing wrong with that. If they don’t like our comments, than they must do something about it and change there promo tactics. We will keep on supporting Esmée whatever Tenman does.

I liked the performance of ‘I’ll be there’ but I think Esmée still needs to work on the higher notes cause they sounded a bit pitchy.
But in general I think Esmée sounds best, singing slow/ballad songs…

Yay…Tennman FINALLY tweeted about Esmee with the link to ‘I’ll Be There’. Not a peep from JT. He just tweeted about his new YouTube channel and the first video is Him and Matt Morris.
Wow, “Hope for Haiti Now” was amazing. Matt and JT did a really good job. Beautiful song “Hallelujah”.
Matt Morris sounds good! Matt will have most of his succes in the US/Canada, because over here (Europe) his type of music isn’t the mainstream.
I think the chance of worldwide succes is bigger for Esmée then for Matt. At least I hope it ;) .

For Freesol, I recommend a track called “Cigarillos”. It is available in their myspace. For Brenda, I used to listen a track, kind of jazzy sound with nice Rhode piano. I don’t know the name of the track. It is not available at the moment.

Hmmm, change of plans. Looks like she’s going back to London next week instead of the States. Maybe they’re trying to jump-start her album there. Good.
My thought about Esmee’s singing. As you may know, some critics said Esmee always used Beyonce’s singing technique. At first time, I was kind of no idea because I had been ill-informed about Beyonce. I thought Esmee just learned something from Beyonce. For today, I had a chance to see Beyonce’s show on DVD. It looks like Esmee has imitated what Beyonce did on stage. It may a good thing if Esmee can be powerful like Beyonce. However, it could be bad thing if she tried to do Beyonce’s things and did not do a good job. I think one of the problems for “Admit it” is that people cannot forget what Beyonce can do. So, Esmee was put to be on the singing contest with Beyonce, which is not a good thing. People who are indifferent to R&B music are not going to support Esmee’s R&b tracks too. If you guys notice, high hit in Esmee’s covers always come from her normal singing, like Natasha’s song. Even “Outta here” , which is the best commercial track for Esmee so far, was also sung normally without Beyonce’s R&B technique. The conclusion is Esmee should do normal singing a bit more. I think her voice is good enough to persuade people to listen to her.
One more thing about “Love Dealer”. Actually, I am still having a doubt on this track. I think we are on the youtube, or precisely user-oriented, era. We should somehow know if this track is going to be a hit by looking at numbers of click and comments. If it is going to be a hit, people are not going to be too conservative and keeping quiet about this. That is why I am not fond of the heavy promotion that Esmee could get from her lable. Promotion is expensive and will put the heavy burden to the artist’s acccount. I think what Esmee has done so far, like visiting radio stations, should be enough. If people like the song, they will buy it. Another thing, people will compare her to JT & possible JS if she is in MV with both of them. Actually, it is a good thing for Tennman to promote this song this way. However, there will be the dark side. People will start to question why only Esmee alone cannot push this song to become the hit. Thank for reading my thought guys :) .
Jimmy, do you want her to sound like Miley Cyrus or Demi Lavato. It’s just not Esmée’s style. She is an R&B singer not a tween sensation.

Huh, Beyoncé and Esmée are sooo different. Beyonce got that black sound in her and the dance skills. Esmée is very different than that. Esmee = Esmee
Some people may say “Irreplaceable” by Beyonce is R&B song. However, if you listen Esmee singing this song carefully, there is one “um” sound at the beginning and the rest is normal singing. That is why I think Esmee’s normal singing should be good enough to show case her voice.

There´s a lot of female vocalists who have the same “um” R&B singing style! But they all make it their own just like esmée! And in no way does Esmée try to/or sound like beyoncé!

^February 9, 2010 is the release date of the UK version (import), so it is not the US release yet.
It seems they changed the plans :( Otherwise she would be on her way to LA by now, I guess? Ugh, this is a long wait for the next single.

OK, Let me try to ‘splane this (as we say here). Twitter released regional trending today. Now you can set twitter to see what is trending in your area or country, e.g. The UK, London, US, or LA. Now, If people have this set, it won’t take nearly as many tweets to start a TT in this smaller region versus the whole world. Get what I’m sayin’? The TT’s are for the particular regions only. Sooooo, it won’t take nearly as many tweets to get Esmee a TT in UK or London. So get to tweeting and make her a TT in the UK. This has got to increase exposure and record sales. Twitter says there’s more areas coming as they’ve got a pretty small list of regions listed right now. Just click change under Trending for the list.
No ‘Netherlands’ (yet)… Like your idea!
Netherlands should be on the way. Takes quite a bit of programming to do this. I think you also need to turn on the geographic thing in your profile so Twitter knows where you’re tweeting from. May have to fiddle with that so they think you’re tweeting from the UK or LA or wherever. They may be just using word recognition too. I need to check into this some more.
OK, this is what I think is happening. In your Twitter settings, right under your location is the option to turn geotagging on. If that switch is on, they look at your location then they look for a hash tag and look at word recognition in your tweet (since there are trending topics with no hash tags) and start collecting those to detect a trend. For your tweets to trend in another country or city, change your location to there. yea I know I’m a geek ;) We ought to try this on Ireland since it’s relatively small and see if we can get Esmee trending there.
In all the regions, the Apple Ipad is dominating the trending due to its release today. Maybe we should wait till this fades away.
The perfect moment for a trending topic is when Esmée releases her new single.
