Hey everybody,

I got back home to the Netherlands just in time because one of my all-time favorite singers was here to perform! I have always wanted to see one of his shows ever since I was little. My dad is a music freak just like me and when I grew up it really inspired me to likeall different types of music. But he had one record that I always begged him to play, which was “Songs in the Key of Life” by Stevie Wonder.

I loved his soulful voice and the music blew me away. So when I heard that he was here to perform I just had to go. The guy is a legend and I wasn’t gonna miss out on it. So I went to his show and I was so excited – it was an amazing show! He had the biggest live band I have ever seen with the best musicians on the planet and he even brought his daughter out to sing. He had so much energy his vocals were amazing. But what I really loved about him was that he was such a cool person. He kept making jokes and he seemed so relaxed. You could see that he was just loving every second of being up there.

But what was even more amazing is that I got to go backstage and meet him. I was so happy and excited I couldn’t believe it was happening to me! Here he was just sitting behind a keyboard. I got all nervous (LOL) so I shook his hand and told him how much I admired him. He was so nice. I told him I was a singer and asked him for advice he said: “dontcha ever stop doing what you do.” I got to take a picture with him and I couldn’t stop smiling all the way home

Hey guys, i know i didn’t update for a long time but there is not much to say really. We just have to wait for the release of Esmée’s debuut album, and i hope she will promote that as well (like attending events, and tv-shows).

I don’t know if you saw it, but we have some troubles with our gallery. I’m trying to fix that as soon as possible. If that’s fixed i have some amazing news, i found some pretty rare/exclusive pictures of Esmée during the Kira plastinina party and i will add those if the gallery probleme is fixed.

I receive some e-mails with people asking why Esmée deleted her last video, where she was talking about her debuut album. I think she deleted it because the release isn’t sure, or anything like that. I hope Esmée will post a new video soon, cause i know all of her fans are waiting for more news about her debuutalbum and what she’s doining.

I will make a new layout soon, and I’m working some projects for this site. So stay tuned, and come back later for the rare/exclusive pictures of Esmée during the Kira plastinina party.

Why wait in a line with thousands of other people to audition for American Idol when you can just pick up a webcam and broadcast your musical talents to millions on YouTube – that would never really get you anywhere, right? Wrong. For 19-year-old Esmee Denters that’s exactly how she caught her big break. She entered homes through the popular website all over the world covering songs by artists like Beyonce, Alicia Keys and Pink.

It was Justin Timberlake, the pop icon himself, that met with the Netherlands native after she was discovered by Ari Goldstein – and it was that first meeting, after having to sing for him on the spot, that it was decided Esmee would be the first artist to sign with Timberlake’s label, Tennman Records. Another first came soon after when Esmee went on to open for Justin’s 2007 European tour at six venues – going straight from being an amateur on YouTube (with over 100 million views in two years) to the big stage with one of the biggest artists.

Esmee has been recording her debut album for over a year and has written roughly 90 songs that she’s had to pick and choose from to make the record. “It’s very, very R&B/Pop, but still every song has a little edge to it. I think all of the songs are basically me, and I don’t think they sound anything like any artist I can think of. Of course, there are influences of artists that I absolutely love, but I think it’s mostly just Esmee. My album has everything an album needs. It’s everything that people my age struggle with.”
At 18 and 19-years-old most people are still trying to figure out where their life is headed, whether it’s college or work or being a bum, but everything seemed to fall into place for this young adult within a couple years, including her first appearance on Oprah. “It goes so fast that you hardly get time to think about it, but then when it happens you do realize…it’s very weird. I just want to touch people and hopefully become as big an artist as Justin is – even bigger,” Esmee says.

For a girl who put up videos “just to see if people would like [her] singing,” she’s in a damn good place. Starting her career off in a recording studio with Justin Timberlake and Timbaland may not have been anything Esmee could have anticipated, but it’s where she’s found herself – and the only place to go from there is up.
